Founder and Mentor
Model United Nations, also called MUN or Model UN is a simulation of United Nations procedures. Participants role-play as UN delegates and engage in negotiations, discussions, and lively debates. Model UN aims to educate students about current events, international relations, diplomacy, and the United Nations agenda. Along with knowledge of the world we live in, participants will develop skills including public speaking, presentation, persuasion, situation analysis, research, and critical thinking. Model United Nations (MUN) simulations are popular exercises for those interested in learning more about the UN. Hundreds of thousands of students worldwide participate every year in MUN at all educational levels – from primary school to university. Many of today’s leaders in law, government, business and the arts participated in MUN as students.

How is MUN different from debate?
While both involve structured discussions, MUN focuses on international diplomacy and requires delegates to represent a country’s policies. Unlike debate club, MUN emphasizes consensus-building and collaborative problem-solving, over arguments. In MUN, students don't just argue to win, they learn about global issues from many different perspectives, collaborate with their peers to lead, influence others, and create solutions together.
